We had a good meetup on Wednesday, with some great bands although this did prevent any of us from "going somewhere quieter to chat". Bloggers that I spotted were Jeremy, Jessica, Jonathan and Andrew. Any others that I didn't spot?

Time for another meetup - how does Wednesday 29th October, in the Black Lion from about 8pm sound?

Update: That should be Wednesday 27th October.

meet up
The 29th Oct is not a Wednesday

so there!

meet-up
um, that sounds good, although I think you've got some conflated dates there. Wednesday is the 27th, Friday the 29th. I can make the former but probably not the latter, unless all the tickets for Dizzee Rascal have already sold out :-)

I'm happy to come on Wed 27th although I'll probably be going to BD4D on the Friday.

Clash!
Can't make that night I'm afraid - it clashes with the Polyphonic Spree at the Old Market :(

Oops
Wednesday 27th I meant... that'll teach me not to look at the diary properly...

Busy week
As it's the last week of the month it's on the same week as Ecademy (Tues), BD4D (27-29, usurping Wired Sussex's usual networking on the last Thursday) and on the same night as the freelancer meet up. So I don't think I'll be making this one.

No can do
Wednesday 27th October is the one day I *can't* make it I'm afraid :-(

My band, Salter Cane, is playing a gig that night in the Hanbury Ballroom.

Y'know, the gig is free, there'll be three bands playing... if you fancied some music to go with the meet-up, why not pop along?

You can find out whether or not you'd like the music by downloading some MP3s from the website:

Would another date be better then?
How about the Wednesday after? Wednesday 3rd November? The only reason I suggest Wednesday is because most of the other meetups have been on a Thursday, and some people have always been unable to attend. So, date suggestions please...

Cheers
Jane

meetup
I can do the 27th, but I'll be in the US on the 3rd...

27th it is then - now for venue...
So, we'll stick with Wednesday 27th October. Now, Black Lion - so we have wifi, or the Hanbury Ballroom - so we have free entertainment?

meetup
black lion is good for me. connection isn't that important though, i've just never been to the hanbury and entertainment is normally loud...

Hanbury Ballroom
The Black Lion is also fine with me. However if we went to the Hanbury, Jeremy could join us and we get to listed to some live music as well.

Hanbury Ballroom 8.30pm - Wednesday 27th
So, to support Jeremy [1] we're going to meetup at the Hanbury Ballroom [2] to watch his band Salter Cane [3]. They are due on at around 10pm, but the music starts at 8.30pm. Their support are Threewheeler [4] and Homescience [5]. He says that there is a front bar area which is quieter for people to chat, this is probably where we'll set up camp - at least initially. This is a free event.

Hope to see some other Brighton Bloggers there supporting Jeremy and Salter Cane.

Woo-hoo!
Yay! This is the best of both worlds: meeting bloggers *and* rock'n'roll :-)

It'll be a fun evening, I promise.

Gah!
Sorry I couldn't come to the gig guys! I live so near too! But at 5pm that evening the phone rang...And I was reminded that I had to go to Haywards Heath, to perform at a comedy night. Thank god they reminded me but damn him for making me miss you all!
